What Is the E-commerce Allowance?
It's a 15,000 MAD per year allocation that allows Moroccan residents to make online purchases on international websites using their Moroccan bank card.
How to Activate It?
- Visit your bank branch or use online banking.
- Request activation of the "International E-commerce" service on your card.
- Your card will be enabled for international online transactions up to the ceiling.
Key Points to Know
- Annual ceiling: 15,000 MAD (resets each January 1st).
- Exchange rate used: Your bank's selling rate at the time of purchase.
- Works for: Subscriptions (Netflix, Spotify), online shopping (Amazon, AliExpress), digital services.
- Doesn't work for: Gambling sites, crypto platforms, certain restricted categories.
